Observation notes: It was observed crawling on the hot pavement of a restaurant parking lot. It was picked up and placed into a flourishing garden where it quickly dug itself into the fallen leaves. Bubba Desert Willows line the front of the restaurant along with other desert climate friendly trees, but this caterpillar had walked far away from any nearby plants or trees.

Coordinator notes: Desert Willow is a host plant for the species, and the caterpillars will wander far sometimes to pupate underground
