Observation notes: Overcast, with high humidity from a gathering rainstorm. The butterfly seemed undamaged and healthy. She circled my backyard for around 30 minutes, taste-testing plants and laying eggs on milkweed. Strongly preferred the common milkweed over the swamp milkweed (maybe because the swamp milkweed patch is small).
