Observation notes: Apologies for the first image's blurriness, clicked the photo as it took off. Hopefully impression of upperside will be helpful. I was able to get a clearer photo of the underside when it perched up again. It has been a while since I lived in West Virginia, and much has happened in the world of Celastrina since then. Thank you for your guidance as to species identification.
