Observation notes: On patch of Sulphur Buckwheat on NW face of San Rafael Mountain between 5500 and 6500 ft elevation. Sunny day in the 70’s F. These look similar to the ones on Mt Pinos. Swarms of these as well as probable Euphilotes glaucon on every small or large Sulphur Buckwheat patch on the mountain. Might be new records for Santa Barbara County. 2 Males chasing perched female.
