Observation notes: Went back to the southern slopes of Mt Palomar and got a fairly good view of this specie in the roadside Grape Soda Lupine. Both male and female observed, as well as other Blues. A surprising turnout given the temps were still in the mid 60s, but very sunny above the coastal cloud deck. Seen starting at the 4000 ft elevation marker on South Grade Road, and upwards for at least 2 km, which is roughly where the Lupine appears.
