Coordinator notes: Really tough call without knowing the habitat it was found in, but near Saranac Lake should have columbine growing wild. These can be easily confused with a Wild Indigo Duskywing, which would be my second guess. What makes me lean Columbine is the very non-specific apical FW spot chain. This is more classically in a zig-zag line on WIDs, and more of a straight line on Columbines, and can be seen on your individual. -Jeff Gesell
