Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I don't know why I'm having a hard time with this one (probably because I don't have a great view of the underwing), but there weren't really any erigonum/buckwheat species blooming yet (just a lot of banner flower and some pussytoes and a few early penstemon) so it doesn't seem like it would be a dotted blue or a lupine blue, but it looks like one of those. It doesn't look like the female greenish blue's I've photographed in the past, which have been much more coppery in color overall.

Coordinator notes: This is a female Greenish Blue...has more blue and more complete orange spot band than average on the hindwings...looks more like the ones east of the Continental Divide than west where they are often more lightly colored (to brown). I accepted even though this is probably from the same place as the male I just confirmed...and since it is different looking...preserves the photo. Mike
