Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Observed at least one intermixed with P. acmon and/or monticola in the Grape Soda Lupine lining the road up to Palomar Mtn. About 4000 feet in elevation. Temps mid to upper 70s, clear, with no wind. This individual was being heavily harassed, and could not get a good ventral view. Last picture is the best ventral view I got, with just a corner of the hindwing ventral surface. The whole photo series is a rapid succession of shots as the individual flew off its Baby Blue Eyes flower perch.
