Coordinator notes: This species is native to Europe and across Asia to Japan. It is up for debate on the status of this species in North America. Originally spotted here in the late 1990s, there were occasional reports scattered over the following decade or so, but then became more frequent in the late 2010s, particularly around the Montreal area. Due to this, it has been proposed that the species may now be established in and around Montreal. -jmgesell
