Coordinator notes: CJ, I call this Gray Buckeye (not Common) because (1) the dorsal ground color is gray rather than brown, (2) the submarginal orange line on the HW is thin, not thick, (3) the large FW eyespot is encircled by a thin ring that is gray, not pale yellow, and (4) where the bold white FW stripe almost encircles the large eyespot there is only a tiny amount of orange coloring the white. Each of these is subjective, but collectively they point to Gray.
