Observation notes: I noticed this caterpillar on my pants when I got back from working in Sumter National forest, South Carolina, in the Enoree Ranger district around Laurens County. The weather was mostly sunny outside while I was working. The caterpillar moves a little bit in the light of the lamp. It's body is pinkish and the bottom and light brown on top and it has a curved spike above it's rear.
