Observation notes: Individual MC, the first I've observed in several weeks, perching along the Soledad Canyon Trail of the Organ Mountains. It has selected a silktassle tall shrub in the narrows just below the headwall (which is now carrying spring-flow due to monsoon rains). The afternoon was hot, humid, under high overcast, and with up-canyon wind gusts.

Coordinator notes: the summer brood is just emerging . . . up here, too.
