Coordinator notes: More correctly, this is a Gray Buckeye (Junonia grisea), Common Buckeyes occur in the eastern USA. Like you I love Mountain Lions, Jaguars and other big cats. Its good to see someone lives in Fresno County that is interested in butterflies. BAMONA now recognizes Gray Buckeyes as a species not the Common Buckeye.
