Coordinator notes: Our common California Buckeye is the Gray Buckeye, The only other Buckeye is the Dark Buckeye (Junonia nigrosuffusa) found in the extreme eastern Mojave and Colorado Deserts. Junonia coenia (the Common Buckeye) is eastern.
