Observation notes: Wow, third time was the charm scouting out this area! Caught and released this male in rugged rocky terrain above Malibu Creek with several species of Dudleya’s growing nearby. Sunny day in the high 80’s F. I cant find any recent sighting records of this species in the Santa Monica mountains. Most records are decades old. Note the map pin doesn't show the exact location just the nearest dirt road.

Coordinator notes: I saw another Sonoran Blue Monday in the Sierra (Tulare County) and found a Milbert's Tortoseshell there in the creekbed. Both are wonderful to see anytime!-Ken Davenport
