Observation notes: First landed on my binoculars as I was sitting on a bench facing the sun. Then, flying about and landing on the ground or dry leaves on the ground in a mowed area near the playground of the state park. It was sunny with a moderate wind and a temperature that was in the upper 40s to 50 degrees F. Very surprised to see it at this time of year. Seen by a number of other observers including T. Jay Adams, Gary Froelich, and Christyna Laubach. A "white" was also seen flying, but I was unable to obtain a photograph it.
