Observation notes: A late-arriving individual buckeye that was using bare soil patches, within dried Bermuda grass patches, to sun. Along the Rio Grande Trail, this is the largest buckeye I have observed in three seasons. The afternoon was warm with light wind. Another was observed and photo-documented on November 5th near this site.

Coordinator notes: this individual shows some suggestion of Dark Buckeye, but they seem minor and so I'll go with Common Buckeye, which will likely become Gray Buckeye in the not-too-distant future. As promised, I am shifting this over to Gray Buckeye, while noting the likely presence of some Dark Buckeye genes.
