Observation notes: These small butterflies were nectaring from water speedwell flowers, the plants growing adjacent to flowing water, released to the Rio Grande channel following treatment. They also perched on adjacent dry vegetation and rocks. Also observed nectaring at this site were Pygmy Blue, Dainty Sulphur, and Checkered White butterflies; the common flower visitors were western honey bees. This afternoon was warm, partly cloudy, light wind with gusts, the temperature was near 70-degrees F.
