Observation notes: Feeding on a Emilia coccinea/tasselflower, not native to the US, but much loved by Monarchs. There are three species of milkweed (Asclepias spp.) nearby and there are caterpillars. This year, they arrived rather late-not until July in our yard. The air temp was approximately 80F/27C
