Observation notes: There were three of these small butterflies feeding on the same stand of common yarrow growing in our Central Oregon yard. The yard is mainly ponderosa and lodgepole pines, with native shrub and flower understory. Only butterflies I have seen in our yard recently. There were more butterfly species in our yard last summer.
