Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Mostly sunny and warm. Temperature in the low 80s F. One seen nectaring on purple clover at ~9,200 ft elevation. Bright orange on dorsal side noticed when in flight, brighter than the occasional orange sulphur that cruised by. This individual was easy to follow from plant to plant compared to orange sulfurs that never seem to land. Photos taken during a cloudy stretch when the butterfly moved very little.
