Date notes: Seen on the underside of a Wyethia mollis (Mule's Ear) in an meadow at 7500-8000 feet

Observation notes: The Sheep Moth was clinging to the shady underside of a Mule's Ear leaf. It was not moving and did not take flight when we moved the leaf to take a picture. It was in a alpine meadow that had sticky geraniums, wild roses, lupine, sagebrush, Indian Paintbrush, spent Arrowleaf Balsamroot and Mule's Ears. The morning was sunny and clear with a slight breeze. Temperature was approximately in the mid seventies.
