Verified date: March 30, 2021
Coordinator notes: Likely subspecies erinna-Ken Davenport. Fritillaries are a challenge in Oregon. I spent 3 days on Mt. Ashland last July getting more familiar with egleis, zerene, hydaspe, callippe and hesperis dodgei there. Since I live in Bakersfield, CA its remarkable I have the Oregon Coordinator job. The species are similar to California but subspecies are usually different. I did get the Volcano Blues on Mt. Shasta last July and they were sequenced genomically. They are not the same as nominate battoides and because of type specimens not found, are not yet placed to species.
Checklist region(s): United States, Oregon, Wallowa County
