Date notes: Observed caterpillar on Oak sapling in evening; Pupated on/near June 24; Eclosed and released on July 24; ID'd as American Copper Underwing, but not noted as present in Macomb County

Observation notes: Caterpillar startled me as I moved near the red oak sapling it was found on. It was rearing back and appeared to be lashing out as I moved near. Captive reared and released.
