Observation date: August 20, 2020
Date notes: 1st sighting in my yard. I had been watching, I saw a Monarch about a week before. Found him eating milkweed. A little smaller, he has been introduced to his new protective temporary home !!
As been growing ever since. Will be J hanging any day now !

Observation notes: This was the 3rd caterpillar I saw this summer. I usually see at least 30 as I have a butterfly garden with fresh milkweed...and they have seen to be coming back for years now.
Just fewer this year and much later then usual...by a good 2-3weeks
