Observation notes: these were abundant in the lowlands. common at the culvert at the base of the road, there were lots of Cercyonis all day, but, I am not sure if they became pegala at higher elevations, as I never go good looks at them. If so, the change was gradual, as there always seemed to be Cercyonis around. The photograph was taken at the culvert where the forested area begins, and there was lots of puddling by a variety of butterflies.
