Observation notes: Walking along a gravel road when he decided to investigate what I was doing. Did not attempt to land or get right up to me, but still landed fairly close. Got down on my knees to try and get a closer look at him when he began hopping a little closer before turning to the side to show me the underside of his left wing. When I attempted to photograph him at a closer range, he flew off back into the woodlands, and disappeared from sight. Weather was pleasant with temperatures ranging from 70˚ to 85˚ until about 2:00PM, when the heat and humidity finally began to roast everything. By this point, the temperature was surpassing 90˚. However, during my time at Blendon, the sky remained mostly sunny with only one or two small clouds in the area.
