Observation notes: Observed several of this species fluttering around in a shady patch of vegetation dominated by salmonberry and lupines, both of which were in bloom. Warm clear day, approximately 85 degrees F, light breeze. Other species seen in this patch included Clodius Parnassian, Edith's Checkerspot, and fritillary, species undetermined.
