Fatal Metalmark
Calephelis nemesis

Observation date: June 28, 2020
Submitted by: Zencoyote
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Barely visible in grasses and a plant that produces yellow flowers (not mustard), I initially thought this to be a spread-wing skipper of some sort. Very well camouflaged in the brush - only its gentle wing motion gave it away. It did not fly when approached.
