Observation notes: ampelos group? Nectaring on Queen Anne's Lace. Saw more than 20 individuals, most patrolling and a few perched or nectaring, along a quarter to half mile stretch of the trail between the oak savannah area and the edge of the woods. They favored a habitat of tall, dry grass and weeds in bright sunlight. Beautiful. Also many, 50+ uncooperative, unidentifiable skippers.
