Observation notes: Cloudy mornings, sunny afternoons all summer in 2019. Had to look for butterflies in the afternoon. This butterfly patrolling, perching on a yellow-flowered Hawkweed and fanning wings along a gravel path. Northeast facing slope. This area is leads to a dip in the trail, provides shelter from wind, catches the sun, seasonal pool of water. Lots of nice weeds blooming. Saw a dozen or more Mylitta Cresents in my walk of about 2 miles. Also flying: numerous skippers, Common Ringlets, Cabbage Whites, Lorquin's Admiral only one.
