Observation notes: Weather: Mostly sunny and 70 degrees. Notes: Western Branded Skippers seemed largely restricted to this one small area of the Well Gulch Trail at Lory State Park; however, within this area, they were quite common. Many of the males exhibited a strong tendency to perch on Mountain Mahogany shrubs, which were abundant in the area.
