Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Seen flying around an area normally just wild grasses and wildflowers at Baker Wetlands, but now partially underwater due to the heavy rainfall all day yesterday and part of this morning. Landed on a milkweed blossom, fed from it for 2-3 minutes, then flew around some other flowers and plants but didn't land, then sailed over to another milkweed's blossoms and fed from it. Size: Seemed pretty large, guessing approx. a 4" wingspan. Weather: 81 degrees, 89% humidity, sun starting to break through overcast skies.
