Observation date: July 24, 2019
Date notes: I am a biologist for the Mendocino County Resource Conservation District on the Willits Mitigation Project and one of our tasks is to remove invasives. Last week we were removing Tansy Ragwort, Senecio jacobaea . The caterpillars of the Cinnabar moth were found in great number and were eating the buds and flowers of this plant.

Coordinator notes: It's a little far south of most sightings but given the food plant (Senecio jacobaea) and the appearance of these instars, I think it's clearly T. jacobaeae. JRains
