Oblique-banded Leafroller Moth
Choristoneura rosaceana

Observation date: May 26, 2019
Submitted by: WINGSaloftinKS
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Originally thought a light brown apple moth, then a barred fruit-tree tortix, but I'm convinced now it is an oblique-banded leafroller moth. Seen on wall about 1' away from the porch light of neighbors' house. Moved it with my finger and it fluttered a few inches over. Very small: No bigger than 1/2-5/8" in length. Colors appeared yellow-tan and a rosy brown with a subtle crackled/woodgrain pattern. Weather: Approx. 70 degrees, 87% humidity.
