Large Marble
Euchloe ausonides

Observation date: April 17, 2019
Submitted by: Lisahug
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: sunny, low 70s. windy. saw about 15 or so whites, but some were Cabbage Whites and most were flying quickly in the wind. Marshy habitat, extensive wetlands with lots of weedy mustards. All 4 photos are of the same female, and one male joins her at the end. She appears to be ovipositing in the wild mustard flower buds. She got blown off the buds for a second and that is her flight shot. After visiting the mustard buds, she nectared on the thistle and was visited by the male.
