Observation notes: I had reviewed ID of this species before going for a walk and spotted butterfly after 3 hours. Photo is not brilliant but only had a cell phone & setting did not allow closer approach before it flew off. the light colored margins of wings are barely visible in photo (OK - perhaps if you have a good imagination). I was able to observe using binoculars and noted the long antenna and fuzzy hairs on its abdomen. Temp was 60° F and there we're patches of snow on the ground. Deciduous forest with some logging done this past fall on neighboring property (hence the pile of brush).
