Observation notes: In Sheltered Canyon, Box Canyon off S-2 HWY San Diego County Ca. California State Park Anza Borrego Desert Very Warm in summer These were in Recesses in rock wall also at minerals from recent rains. we saw at least 20+ in the area Below marker and to the South west down stream in wash. I think we saw all males? few other butterflies as light monsoons this summer not many species were out!
