Observation notes: Very hot, humid, and sunny day. Resting on a leaf. According to the field guide it is a little late for this species to be flying but id based on what appears to me that the top spot is not overlapping the bottom spot and more importantly there is a white eye-ring showing around the eye.

Coordinator notes: This pattern of large forewing patches is unique to the Silver-spotted Skipper; the cloudywings have smaller, whiter spots on the forewing.
