Observation notes: Lethargic caterpillar but alive. Fat, long silky hairs. Long antennae with black on ends. Found on a peony bush leaf ...peonies, rose bushes, lupine, pussywillow close by. Has been a hot summer in NorthEast. Not so much rain but very humid. Day before sighting had heavy rain. Day of sighting much cooler.
