Observation notes: The Taxonomic Report on Yosemite Butterflies By Ken Davenport Made finding A lot of lifers much Easier, I Highly Recommend This Publication! Warm Day Sunny dry, Read the Book it gives locations for lots of very hard to find species! This day I could not get a spread wing shot! Butterflies were Plenty warm already! Was surprised to see these as i thought they were done for the season! the area i went to had quite a bit of snow still and puddeling butterflies also California Tortoise on snow for minerals or moisture. This species was in an area that was all rock! almost no plant life at all!
