Observation notes: Went to a park on this morning where they had garden beds set up as butterfly beds, and there were a LOT of butterflies and bees and other insects, including lots of monarchs. The beds included tropical milkweed, magenta zinnias, salvias, yellow daisies, and more. I counted about 7 monarchs. They seemed to prefer the tropical milkweed and the zinnias. Each would briefly feed on a flower's nectar then sail to another one. Instead of submitting each monarch I saw there, I'm including all of the monarchs I saw. Weather: 80 degrees, approx. 40% humidity, sunny skies. Size: Between 3-3.75" wingspans
