Date notes: Unusual swallowtail eclosed from what I thought were typical eastern black swallowtail cats/chrysalides. Goldrim swallowtail this far north seemed unlikely, but checking your map made it less so.

Observation notes: Collected eggs off of my fennel on 6/18/18 and reared them indoors so my children could observe them. The first to emerge is unlike any swallowtail I've ever seen in Michigan.
