Observation notes: We planted milkweed in our Wadsworth Township, Ohio yard, hoping for monarch, and spotted a new visitor! It was a Virginia Ctenucha. Very unique. It was on the flowering blossoms in the 90 degrees heat. Though in the shade, I noticed it still there a day later. It was no longer alive. I would love to know if this is usual, due to heat, life cycle, or diet. We can plant more of what it likes in the future
