Observation date: June 01, 2018
Submitted by: A_baldini
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Time: 12:00 p.m. Temperature: Upper 80’s (88-89 or so). Wind Speed: 18-19 mph. Sky: Sunny. Observation Notes: This sulphur went flying by very quickly, carried by the wind. I thought it was just a Clouded Sulphur at first, but once I captured it, I knew it was something else. Unfortunately, it was mortally injured during capture, so I had to kill it a short while later. It was already extremely worn when I caught it, though.

Coordinator notes: Correct ID, normally these show up a little later in June. There is about a ten year cycle when they are more common than usual into Colorado. The last one by my count was in 2010 but this may be less so noticeable in northern Colorado than in the immediate Front Range area between Colorado Springs and Boulder. Mike
