Observation notes: I stumbled upon this small garden in front of one of the Long Beach Boardwalk apartment buildings. The Boardwalk is adjacent to the beach. Flying happily within the garden were about ten of what I believe are Monarchs. The day was sunny and unseasonably warm, in the upper 60's/70. (Last Fall I saw a Monarch on the beach itself, and submitted that sighting to your group).
