Observation notes: Saw quite a few monarchs on the White Arrow Leaf Aster out in the prairie fields. All busy nectaring, including this one. Would fly away about 3-6' if it heard noise (me walking in the field) but then return to the plant once the noise stopped. Size: Approx. 4" wingspan. Weather: Sunny and 77 degrees.
