Observation notes: I found this caterpillar in my meadow as I was pulling out Purple Loosestrife. It was on a stem of Loosestrife. Also in the meadow are Joe Pyeweed, Goldenrod, Boneset and grasses/ sedges.
I do have Virginia Creeper on the property but not really near where I found the caterpillar. Maybe 200 ft. away.
