Observation notes: A male, on angelica flower in a meadow with bistort, arnica, asters, and groundsel. There is a good bloom of angelica this year. Warm, calm sunny afternoon in upper 70's F.

Coordinator notes: The Sierra Nevada name aehaja might be incorrect for Oregon. Andrew Warren favored the name "rufescens" for most of that state in his book on Oregon.. -Ken Davenport
