Observation notes: Butterfly was perched on a milkweed and appeared to be injured. It tried to fly away but instead fluttered to the ground, becoming tangled in the long grass. I slid my hand under its feet and it clung to my finger. After photographing it, I returned it to the milkweed. Weather was warm and humid, no breeze.
